Subject: Procurement of technical equipment necessary for launching affordable public Wi-Fi zones in target regions of the REDI project.
Subject: Procurement of Internet and Installation Services
The committee concluded that:
- Airnet is a suitable candidate to be recommended for the award of the contract for
Guria region.
- Skytel is a suitable candidate to be recommended for the award of the contract for
Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi & Kvemo Svaneti.
- Airmax is not a suitable candidate for certain municipalities of Imereti.
- Since despite substantial decrease, submitted bids still exceed the project
budget, the project team is advised to consider the possibilities to increasing the budget allocated for the installation of internet services under the REDI project in order to sign contract on Guria with Airnet and contract on rest of the regions with Skytel.
- The budgeted amount in EUR for installation and a 4-month subscription fee for
185 villages is €268,427.57, while the total cost of the Airnet + Skytel scenario amounts to €297,008.00, exceeding the budget by approximately €28,580.43.
