As part of Component 2, implemented by the Solidarity Fund PL, Moldova’s capacities in border management and the prevention of cross-border crime will be strengthened. These activities will be carried out in cooperation with the Polish Border Guard.

In Chișinău, the project “European Union for Border Security – Moldova (EU4Borders Security – Moldova)” was officially launched, aiming to support the modernization of border and migration management in line with European Union and Schengen standards.

The project includes, among other activities, the implementation of modern technologies, staff training, the exchange of best practices with EU member states, and the strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation. The launch event brought together representatives of the Moldovan authorities, the EU, and international organizations, who discussed issues of security, innovation, and the future of integrated border management.

The initiative represents an important step in preparing the Republic of Moldova for integration into the European Union.

The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Central Project Management Agency in Moldova, the Solidarity Fund PL, and the International Organization for Migration in Moldova.
