In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Solidarity Fund PL in Georgia is launching a project, “Be a real “jigit”
In October , Solidarity Fund PL in Georgia with the partnership of the Georgian NGO “Social HUB”, successfully implemented the training and social Campaigns in 6 regions of Georgia (Kakheti, Shida Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti, Guria and Samegrelo). Overall, 550 young people from different regions of Georgia participated in the trainings.
Training included the following modules:
• Safety and security regulations, and mitigation measures during the COVID-19 pandemic;
• Event Planning and organizing in times of limited mobility;
• COVID-19 opportunities for young people;
• Active Citizenship.
After the training, the project participants, in 9 cities of Georgia developed the modern social campaigns advocating for the safety & security mitigation measures during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as a special facemask created within the framework of the project was distributed to the population.
The Project is co-financed by the Polish development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
