To support Moldova in the struggle against COVID-19, Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova has donated 37 oxygen concentrators to local authorities. This is the second batch of equipment to reach the country thanks to Fund’s efforts. The official handover ceremony, which took place on 22 May 2020, was attended by Viorica Dumbrăveanu, Minister of Health, Labour and Social Protection and Bartłomiej Zdaniuk, Ambassador of Poland to Moldova.
Oxygen concentrators will be supplied to 30 hospitals across the country. Two concentrators will be sent to Transnistria.
Personal protection equipment and devices purchased and donated under the so-called Crisis Fund include:
• protective bodysuits (800 pcs.);
• oxygen concentrators (38 pcs.);
• disinfectant (3.800 l);
• liquid disinfectant spraying devices (50 pcs.);
• protective masks (16,380 pcs.);
• small of medical equipment (27 pcs.).
The purchase of the personal protection equipment was financed by the Polish development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
