Project opening ceremony: Voluntary Fire Service as a Form of Temporary Crisis Response

The “Voluntary Fire Service as a Form of Temporary Crisis Response” project presentation was held in Borjomi on June 28, 2019. The main objective of the project presentation was to inform the key stakeholders about the continuation of last year’s project “Forest Fire Volunteer group”. The stakeholders such as Borjomi Municipality, Borjomi council, Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, the local educational resource centre and the Borjomi Municipality kindergarten union, school teachers and kindergarten teachers attended the meeting.

The Project Coordinator and Project Officer presented the scope of the activities to the participants. The presentation covered last year’s results achieved during the first phase of the project and the planned activities, events and training of the second phase.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Solidarity Fund PL in Georgia. A representative of the Solidarity Fund PL welcomed the guests and made a short presentation of the fund, its mission, vision and goals.
The second part of the ceremony was a question and answer session and the invited guests and partner organizations made important statements about the project, which is essential for Borjomi municipality, and expressed their readiness to participate in the project.
At the end of the meeting an official signing ceremony was held of the partnership agreement between “Nacres” and the Solidarity Fund PL in Georgia.
